Applesauce Overnight Oats

This is the best breakfast you can make for your little one while having a busy morning. It’s super quick but made with toddlers in heart. It is packed with protein, calcium, vitamin B, fiber, potassium, probiotic and healthy fats. Make sure you choose the right yogurt. I actually choose KEFIR but whole milk plain yogurt is a great choice too. I am a big fan of kefir, you will see me using it a lot in my recipes. I will also write entire post about benefits of kefir over yogurt. In brief, it has more fat, more protein and more probiotic. For example, half a cup of Liberte organic kefir delivers 40 billion probiotic organisms while most of probiotic yogurts contains roughly one billion per serving. Enough to convince you to give kefir a try? If not, stay tuned for my more detailed post about its benefits.

Whichever you choose they both have lots of:

  • healthy fats your baby need for their developing brain
  • calcium that helps build strong bones
  • protein that helps build strong muscles
  • potassium that is essential for heart health

If your baby has diary intolerance, choose plain non-dairy yogurt.
